GemScope RHG-181 Gemstone Refractometer and Jewelry Testing Tool

Examine gemstones with greater confidence and less guesswork. This optical gem identification tool measures refractive index from 1.30 to 1.81 to support the evaluation of compatible polished stones. LED illumination improves scale and shadow-line visibility during testing. Its compact design suits professional jewelers, gemology students, collectors, and workshop use.

Key Features

• Refractive index range of 1.30–1.81
• Clear high-contrast optical scale
• LED light supports easier observation
• Helps examine single and double refraction
• Compact body for portable testing

Why Choose Our GemScope RHG-181

Unlike visual inspection alone, GemScope provides a measurable optical property that can help narrow down gemstone identity. Its illuminated scale and focused testing range offer practical value without the size and complexity of larger laboratory instruments.

Perfect For

Ideal for jewelers, gemologists, appraisal workshops, gemstone collectors, jewelry stores, students, and enthusiasts examining emerald, zircon, ruby, sapphire, and other compatible stones.

How to Use

Clean a polished stone surface, apply suitable contact liquid to the prism, and position the stone carefully. View the shadow boundary through the eyepiece and compare the reading with a trusted gemstone reference chart.

Care and Safety

Clean the prism gently after use and store the instrument dry and protected. It cannot measure stones with a refractive index above 1.81, including diamond at approximately 2.42.
