Question 1

Is a vinyl decal and a sticker the same?

Accepted Answer

No, they are not the same. A sticker consists of multiple layers of paper material that an image is printed on and a clear protectant is placed over the sticker. Stickers are better used for indoor applications and small locations. Vinyl decals are made from layers of permanent vinyl that is flexible and very durable. They are designed to withstand outdoor elements for years and are very adhesive, ensuring they will not come off due to rain or uv rays. Stickers are applied by removing the backing of the sticker and placing it in your desired location. A vinyl decal is applied using transfer tape and applying to your desired location, then removing the transfer tape from the decal once applied.

It also has a more vibrant color and can be all dimension types. Downfall to sublimation is that it only works with items that are 100% Polyester or majority polyester.
